what it does for you
over opentelemetry (otlp) to grafana cloud, datadog, honeycomb, a local collector or any otlp backend, or to capped local files. it runs as a separate add-on, so a fault in it cannot touch a colony.
prompts, tool output and file paths are never exported.
what it needs
- an otlp endpoint, and its header kept as a secret

settings → modules → observability. off until configured.
